Termites can cause serious damage to your home or commercial property. While people worry about a fire or storm damaging their home or business, data reveals that damage caused by termites is far more likely. While not as sudden or violent, subterranean termites can eventually create a need for major structural repairs.

By calling A&S Pest Control Inc., you can be assured of a professional inspection, recommendations if termites are discovered and a treatment program to rid your property of these pests. Additionally, all of our work  and our services are guaranteed, at no additional cost, in the unlikely event that these pesky critters return.

Almost every structure is a potential home for termites, since what they need most is wood and moisture. Even when a property is stone or brick, wood can be found in the structural supports. Anything that comes into contact with the soil is a potential entry point for termites – including outdoor fences.

Foundation cracks, plumbing/roofing leaks, faulty downspouts& gutters, ground sloping toward the foundation, insufficient ventilation, rigid foam insulation, firewood, wooden steps, decks, landscaping timbers: all can encourage termite colonization. Termites build mud tubes which they use as a highway between the ground and your home or business.

What Attracts Termites to My Property?

Termites Do Over $1.5 Billion in Property Damage A Year- Is Your Home Or Business At Risk?

First, we conduct a thorough inspection of your property. Our inspectors are certified by  the State. After a thorough evaluation of your property, we will recommend a treatment plan tailored to your situation, your structure’s construction, where it is situated and the degree of infestation.

At A&S our professional technicians are trained in the latest treatment techniques and use the most up to date equipment and environmentally responsible materials, such as Termidor®, to solve your problem.

To control subterranean termites, a liquid Termidor® termiticide/insecticide termite treatment is applied by A&S technicians with precision along the foundation walls or exterior perimeter of your home.

The treatment uses time-tested application methods at very low rates. It is virtually odor free and won’t cause any disruption to your family’s normal routines.

Termidor binds tightly to the soil to create the “Termidor Zone.” Since this protective termite treatment zone is undetectable to termites, termites can’t avoid it and will not try to find a way around it (as they can with repellent termite treatments).

To control drywood termites, A&A Pest Control professionals may apply Termidor® DRY Termiticide directly into termite galleries to treat drywood termites and termites in structures or objects not connected to your home. Unlike liquid applications, Termidor DRY does not add moisture to wood.

Termidor Kills and Controls Termites Several Ways

When termites eat Termidor treated material, they will die. But Termidor doesn’t stop there. It kills termites by contact as well. And since termites can’t detect its presence, termites directly ingest and contact Termidor as they go about their normal routines.

The Unique Termidor “Transfer Effect™”

Whenever a termite touches Termidor, it can become a “carrier,” transferring Termidor to other termites it contacts. Secondary carriers continue transferring Termidor to other termites they contact, spreading it like a virus throughout the colony. This unique “Transfer Effect™” is one of the reasons no other termite treatment can control termites like Termidor.

The Termidor Transfer Effect

Termites are frequently mistaken by the homeowner as ants and often are referred to erroneously as white ants. Typically signs of termite infestations occur  during swarm season in March through June and in September and October. Swarming is an event where a group of adult males and female reproductives leave the nest to establish a new colony. If the emergence happens inside a building, this indicates that there is an established termite colony already existing for about 4 years and it is attempting to spread to infest other wood members of the structure.  Each homeowner should be aware of the following signs of termite infestation:
